The Willows Community Church

This is our new Church plant on the local Willows estate. It meets twice a week, once every Sunday for a service of worship at 9.30 a.m. This is held in the Willow Tree Pub with kind permission of Debbie, the manager. In addition there is a house group for prayer and Bible study meeting every week on Wednesday evenings. This is held in a house on the Willows residential estate. A successful Alpha course was held during the year where one member made a profession of faith.

The Church has been accepted as a member of the Evangelical Alliance and of Christians Together in Torbay. It is also a member of the organisation called Christian Vision for Men and in this connection we hope to organise social events with the aim of reaching a greater number of men.

Also, as part of the wider picture, involving the Willows Community Association, activities for young people from the estate are hosted by Barton Baptist Church on Saturday mornings at our premises where there are good facilities for games and other activities.
