Our LinksBarton Baptist Church has links with many organisations. Click the buttons above to see the work of some of them. We work with the other Baptist churches in and around Torquay, joining together twice a year for joint services. We also have links with the local Anglican church. There is an active ministers' fellowship who meet monthly here at Barton Baptist Church. We have a bi-annual flower festival and cream tea as outreach to the surrounding community, we also invite every church in the area to join us. Our premises are shared with many groups, including the following: Heart Beaters, an art group, blood transfusion service, P.H.A.B. (Physically handicapped and able-bodied people), choir practice, English Language Summer School Students. We also hold birthday parties. We have members involved in Gideon work, Torbay Hospital Chaplaincy, Prison Alpha Courses, School Governors, two choirs, Church plant at the Willow Tree Pub and in residential homes. We have links with Home Mission, BMS, Work on the Willows and Linx (Christian youth work in schools) Street Pastors. For a number of years we have also contributed Christmas shoe boxes to Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritan's Purse, which delivers the gifts to children all over the world who may never receive another present in their lives. We also go carol singing in the local pub and we have shared hot cross buns and a Gospel message with local shoppers on the street.
