Too good to be true....?
In a world that feeds our homes and minds with more than enough bad news, I suppose a little bit of good news would be a welcome relief. The good news that has been proclaimed for almost 2000 years is that, God has made enemies into friends; rebels into ambassadors; the unforgiveable forgiven and the loveless lovely. It is because of Jesus, the Son of God, that in his teaching we have God's thoughts, in his death we have God's salvation and in his resurrection we have his life.
In short, the good news of Jesus Christ is that in him, through him and by him, anyone, everyone, everywhere is invited to accept what he offers simply by believing in him. That's it. Nothing else to do; nothing else to earn. Jesus said we are to turn from our wayward and sinful lives to him. That's it! So knowing God through Jesus Christ is the most incredible, cosmic reality anyone will ever hear. Unbelievable I know, but something as beautiful and crazy as this can only be God's idea!
The Son of God became the Son of Man,
so that the son's of men might become the son's of God.
