Children's and Youth Activities
We are always desperately in need of volunteers to help with Sunday Club in the morning and CFCs and Chill Zone on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you could help out for just one morning or evening a month, please ask to see the appropriate group leader on a Sunday morning.
Barton Baptist Church adheres to a 'Safe to Grow' policy, for the protection of all the children attending our activities and events. All volunteers are recruited and vetted in accordance with this policy. We also have two children's advocates who the children can call on if they need someone to talk to outside of the leadership.
Sunday School
During the second part of most of our Sunday morning services each week there are facilities and teaching for children and young people.
There is a creche in a room adjacent to the sanctuary, with a window, so parents and helpers can still observe the service in progress (children up to 3/4 years).

For older children, there is a Sunday Club (4/5 – 11/12 years), and a Young People’s Bible Group (11/12 – 17 years). Activities include singing, games, craft and acting, usually on a termly theme. At Christmas the children usually participate in the family service with a nativity or Christmas play or presentation, and they are encouraged to take part in services throughout the rest of the year with readings, prayers and singing.
